Welcome to a new monthly challenge where Emily, Terrie, Tara, and I will put our creativity skills to use while only shopping at one location! We will style and DIY with what we are able to find at our challenge location, as well as shop our homes to use items we already have.
Y 'all challenge accepted!
I'm not a frequent Dollar Tree shopper, but only because its located in town and we live rurally. I was unsure of what to expect to find and also, extremely excited!
All I knew beforehand was that I wanted to create a wintry tablescape full of whimsy and hints of Norwegian elements.
I got very lucky the day that I went shopping at Dollar Tree! I happened upon an aisle that had some amazing boho style décor pieces!
Here's what I bought:
~ 4 floral picks; 2 different styles, $4
~ 4 metallic mushrooms; gold and silver, $4
~ 4 dream catchers $4
Here's what I shopped from my home:
~ 4 charcoal gray cloth napkins
~ 4 porcelain white dinner plates
~ 2 antique candlestick holders
~ Tiered stand
~ Fresh pomegranates
~ Faux Fur table runner
Here's what I did:
First, I styled and casually set up the items I shopped from my home.
Next, I placed the dream catchers on top of the place settings and added those adorable mushrooms on top of the runner. I pulled apart the floral picks and arranged the greenery to what my eyes found pleasing. I also added bits of the greenery and pine cones to frame the pomegranates.
At last minute, I decided to add in some woven chargers to the tablescape because it just seemed to be missing a natural element and to fill in some of the empty space. I found those woven chargers at Pier 1 imports a couple years ago and I just love them!
Here's a picture to show the added difference of those chargers...
… and here are a few views of my wintry, boho tablescape all complete!
