Hey y 'all! I'm finally feeling in tip top shape and back to blogging! I've most definitely missed it, but I had to take a step back due to health reasons. So glad to be back!
I've fallen back in love with my home, again! I've been re-painting, fixing, styling, and diy'ing to my heart's content!
Now I must mention, I loved my home as it was before, but I needed to have more color! I had made a deal with the hubby (he's a chromophobe) to give the all white walls a chance and I did for a few years, but I could no longer deny my heart what it truly craved!
Here's a tour of the recent changes I have made:
In the downstairs, I went dark and moody with Sherwin Williams Still Water. This color made the wood, metallics, and bright colors really pop!
I'm still pulling the dining space and kitchen together with a real focus on dark and moody with pops of bright color. Hope to share more updates on this very soon!
Oh this staircase and landing has been a slight annoyance to my eyes for awhile. The flipper we bought our home from had used a few different shades of matte white paint ….. the upper half of the wall was a different white from the bottom half of the wall, and the trim makes three. I was luckily able to color match the upper half of the wall's color, which also happened to be the same color as the second story hallway. Instead of just re-painting the lower half to match, I went for a fun, colorful, and abstract mural!
I found so much wall mural inspo on Instagram! Check out these ladies to get inspired:
